Working Thesis for Beginners
The process of thesis writing is not very demanding if you know the step by step procedure. In this case, working thesis is all about learning how to compose the different parts of the paper. It does not matter whether you are writing an undergraduate or a PhD level thesis. As long as you know the basic parts of the research paper, you can produce a good project.
Let us start with the abstract. The abstract chapter is the executive summary of the thesis. This is where you will give an overview of your entire paper content. Be careful though because you should not include all important details in the abstract. Rather, make it like a snapshot of your entire work. In this case, you should limit your words in about 300 to 500 only. This will then preserve all the important aspect of the paper in the remaining chapters.
Next is the introduction. This is the primary part of the paper that will give details on the topic goal. You should include the thesis statement and problem statement in here. Therefore, the introduction part must contain basic details on what the topic is and how you are planning to come up with the results. Most contents of the introduction part will have the thesis statement as the last sentence.
Afterward, you can write the literature review. This chapter contains a summary of different materials that are related to your research topic. The main goal in writing this paper is to include all relevant info in the research so that you can establish the significance of the topic. This way, your readers will know the value of your work by checking on other research articles.
What is the methodology chapter? This segment will try to explain how you will be doing the research. It should contain at least two parameters of interest. The first one is the data acquisition. Explain to your readers who you will gather data and use it to establish research results. The second one is the analysis of data. This means you can apply the statistical methods that are applicable to your data.
The interpretation part of the paper will rely on the results of the data analysis. Of course, you have to consider the numerical aspects of analysis to see if you can accept or reject the hypothesis. Only this way you will be able to write the conclusion. The conclusion part will then contain the results of the analysis and solve the question at hand. Always remember to include a summary, resolutions and further recommendations if necessary.
