hi Grad Student,
on the one hand you're right, if one is about to start a scientific career it is not acceptable to just buy a dissertation or a research paper.
On the other hand, not every student will opt for dedicating his life to science and making research all his life
Most students are going to start career in Economics, Management, or any other filed, not directly connected with the certain subject that was obligatory in his university
Sometimes students are able to write a perfect dissertation but they simply do not have time to make correct referencing or formatting
All in all, it's everyone's own choice:)

Isn't paying someone to write your dissertation plagiarism? It doesn't matter if the "ghost writer" doesn't plagiarize his/her sources... at the end of the day, you - the PhD candidate - didn't write it.

I strongly warn students against doing this. If this was discovered at any point in your career, you'd quite possibly lose everything.

An alternative is to work with an academic skills center or professional service to develop your own unique ideas and then after you've done your own original research and writing, employ a professional editor. Many schools offer these services as well. And these are plagiarism-free since you did all the original work (think of it as a manuscript editing service for graduate students).
